The dowling falls out if you look at it the wrong way. This seems to be a simple design flaw that could have easily been fixed with the trivial addition of a washer.

The product is the perfect size and holds lots of pasta wellmade and durable
Very nice beechwood all cut perfectly with no ruff edges easy clean up
Have not found anything better than this pasta stand but have been known to improvise with clothes hangers hung from a kitchen chandelier
Base wasn’t sturdy so i also added a touch of silicone as well
