My deltran unit would indicate the batteries were fully charged and go into trickle mode after 30 minutes

On bmws thats the method to be used instead of connecting it directly to the battery due to the electronics that control the battery statemonitoring if you connect any charger directly it will bypass the monitoring and codes will be thrown out and youll get warning lights prompts

Using a laserinfrared temp gun i measured the top part of the charger to be 103107 degrees

The bottom was 128 degrees f

I repositioned the charger to expose the bottom to ventilation more half way off the wood block
