The instructions are a bit confusing because in one place it says to run hot water through the filter for 5 minutes before the first use

Maybe if you have heavy mineral deposits the filter might clog faster but that sounds like a much larger problem then

My faucet stopdiverter is not in the standard position

Our filter is still new so it leaves some gold dust in the bottom of the tub

My shower filter leaves black carbon dust in the tub too so i dont think this is a problem
