Pros

Killashandra a disappointed music student from the planet fuete, becomes a crystal miner. Killa and lars feel it's alive since it's grown and it pulses in patterns, so maybe sentient. Ballybran is an interdicted planet because of the symbiot.

Series is real good scifi. Especially the dragon rider series.

Anne mccaffrey is an exceptional storyteller. All of her stories are of those most re-visitable. Mc caffrey's epic adventures at it's best.

The crystal singers' descent into memory loss and paranoia is believable and sad. The author's ability to create a novel believable culture is phenomenal.
