A couple reviews stated that the case will not stay open on its own this is true because the case has no hinges instead the back of the case has a strip of elastic material that stretches when the case is opened and this stretch causes the case to close when released

I think the case would be ok in a light rain but would not be considered waterproof because of the elastic on the back and the zipper on the front

The interior is ok but i would have liked the padding to be softer than it is
