The fight scenes the strategy and fear of battle the humor wisdom and lives of the characters within all come alive building suspense and gripping the readers attention until sadly there is only the last page of the book left

By now we know sir thomas is stubborn to a fault but from a guy perspective we are too caught up in the detailed battle scenes and deft sword skills to be bothered by character faults
