Pros & Cons
Pros
The taper angle of the pins are what make the friction pins so secure. The pins fit perfectly in the taylor 614ce builder's edition. I think when restringing an acoustic guitar with pins, it's important to keep all the pins separated and ordered in th... Read More
I need 2 sets of these for a 12 string i'm updating. Very nice. Perfect upgrade for my guitar. If you buy them, i recommend you restring your guitar right away and see if they do the trick.
Cons
The inconsistency in size i find it hard to believe that all 6 are going to fit any guitar. They say you can sand them down for a perfect fit, but i was still very surprised by how inconsistent these were.
Highlights

I don’t recommend sanding each one of the ebonyrosewood bridge pins as this may cause inaccuracies to the taper angle

Price
I wish i had done this long ago and the product was reasonably priced

I’ve paid 3 times as much for pins that were no where close to the quality of these
I bought this taylor from a local music store on sale because it actually sounded rather poorly
Packaging/appearance
The packaging for the pins is far more elaborate than i expected and perfect for preserving the quality of the pins while store... Read More
Competitiveness
Abelone is not as bright as the martin version of the ebony pins
Seems to have added more sustain but hard to compare directly with original pins
