Excellent value and craftsmanship. Excellent mechanical reliability. Durable, quality knife which i'm sure will satisfy buyers.

I read some complaints about the lock being difficult to undo but i am rather happy with that
This brand is great alway good quality good blade and new locking system that seems to work well
Lastly i dont care for a serrated edge i like a straight edge on the entire blade and the crkt has a straight edge

Really well made knife at low price
Packaging/appearance
For a smoother onehanded open the crkt has the clip on the butt of the knife
So now i don’t have to pack my original pat crawford folder pictured here next to the crkt offbeat
Sharp right out of the box but razor sharp after a few hits on the strop

I wish it was a little bigger probably my fault for not paying closer attention to the size

Besides the difficulty is superficial if one grasps the handle from the blade edge side the three back fingers of the hand can firmly hold the the body of the handle while the thumb and index fingers are free to easily undo the lock

Then a slight push of the back of the blade against the holders body forces the blade to reposition just enough to be ready to close

During the operation the back side of the hand is protected from accidental closing by the base of the blade

The only but is that the clip is slick on the inside and thus prone to incidental undoing

Rather than wait for it to be broken in i filed down the corners of the locking mechanism
