Pros

Only downside is the battery placement. But it works beautifully and if you consider what you’re using it for, it’s a great deal.

A built-in light sensor automatically adjusts dot brightness based on ambient light level. The dot is bright enough to see in sunlight and automatically dims for low light usage. The brightness adjusts itself to the existing light conditions.

The crimson trace red dot sight fits perfectly on my springfield armory hellcat. Works fantastic with my ruger max 9 and co-sights fantastic with the factory front site. It is a great addition to any firearm or armory.

Red dot is much brighter than the green tritium front sight it sits right above at close combat range. Ambient light from my olight pl2 mini makes the red dot brighten up making it easier to pick up.

They are adjustable for height and windage. Easy to install and get set to zero. Put this on my s&w shield plus or, easy install, the auto adjust works surprisingly well and the darn thing was zeroed and cowitnessing perfectly the instant it was i...  Read More

Cons

The battery is slightly exposed and it extends the sides of the slide on a hellcat. It's july 21st, and the class has already cracked.

Quality

It fits perfectly no additional optic plates needed zeroes in with original sights sturdy easy to adjust windage and elevation

I’ve taken it to the range a couple times now and after 100 rounds or so each time it’s still very sturdy and stays on target

The screws provided will bottom out with optical not fully secured loose

3 days after i put this on my pistol i dropped my slide on concrete while cleaning and broke the glass on the sight

Price

Especially for the price i highly recommend

For the money you can’t beat this dot and it cowitnesses which is always a great thing

Great value for the money in my opinion

But at this price point i didn’t expect that and really like this red dot

Shipping

It was simply the only one at the time with one day shipping… but i can’t find a need to replace it

There customer service and warranty has earned them a customer for life

Competitiveness

I purchased the cts 1550 for my sig m18 p320 compact as far as the product

This cts1515 cost a third what my first red dot cost and is as good if not better

I also would suggest buying a name brand 2032 lithium battery

Owed for a year now and still haven’t replaced the battery

Step 2 take the blank off the top of the slide at the rear

Step 3 simply screw the red dot on add some blue loctite to each screw so they don’t become loose from gun recoil when shooting

If there’s any disadvantage to this model i would say it is that you have to remove the red dot from the gun to replace the battery

But the battery lasts so long it’ll be 12 yrs before replacement

Also this red dot activates by light and then goes to sleep in 20 minutes when you put the cover on it it’s not a “shake awake”

I have a shield smsc on my hellcat and wanted this on my ruger mark 3 to practice with

You will need to get a plate from sig to cover the rear right holes but its a couple dollars
