Pros & Cons
Pros
This wood-boring extension drill bit is great for reaching recessed spots.
Using them to bore holes in studs for wiring. I usually like to make 5/8 holes through studs to run 12 gauged ac/mc cables.
These are make for drilling fast. Super clean holes, and can hold up to most drill speeds. Works perfectly with the quick-release coupler as well as the standard drill chuck.
This is a billion times better than the 1 * bit i have as part of set of * bits. Makes it easy to go through multiple at once without worrying about the * bit being long enough.

Where these do not excel is in harder woods where slower drilling is needed

The issue is that the screw tip pulls the bit in so the same feature that makes pass through work quick and easy can be a detriment when you want to go slow

Make sure to check code though and center the hole in the middle of the board to maintain strength of the stud
