Once the xfi was plugged in to the surface tablet directly running on battery all the sound disturbance disappeared

Great sound really massive improvement over laptop builtin sound paired with two maudios bx5d2 carbons the sound is sublime with good quality music drivers for window 10 are available on creatives website so not sure what previous comments complained about talking about no driver support there is a link on the product page of the xfi hd

Great sound easy to use only down side is apparently it stops working after windows 10 update 1803

Just remember to set your sample rate to something appropriate to your headphonesspeakers in your windows settings or with the bundled software it doesnt do it automatically
