As far as i can tell this is the only way of checking the battery level as there is no visible indicator other than a red led which lights when the unit is charging and goes out when it is fully charged

There is another larger led indicating whether it is connected to a bluetooth device white or ready to pair flashing white or just powered on green

I have used two other bluetooth speakers the creative d80 and samsung yrsbr510b and i think the muvo 20 sounds slightly better than both of these so maybe the technology is still moving forward

One thing that should be noted regarding sound quality especially with music the quality of the source is just as important as the speakers themselves so if you have a phone with good audio capabilities like a samsung galaxy s4 flac files and a good audio app like poweramp the sound will be better than that from an older phone playing mp3

The muvo 10 comes in some bright colours whereas the muvo 20 is only available in black or white and the design is functional rather than stylish
