Visually this is much nicer than straight cork but because it doesnt accommodate the label of the record with an indented circle it floats the record ever so slightly above the mat not good

Nice product surpasses cork mats and eliminates static on my deck

Isnt so thick so as to cause my dust cover to contact the record edge

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The warp did not return after nonusage overnight without any weight on it

So much less static dust and lint

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Logically speaking the static was being generated on the top side of the record and adding a barrier to the underside made very little sense and moreso seemed to me that it would actually protect the platter from any static generated by the needle groove forcing the electric charge to become stuck in the record instead of transferring to the platter thus exasperating the issue

That is until a friend of mine commented that since i am playing on a direct drive maybe the motor itself was generating a charge that was heading up to the surface causing the problem in the first place

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Nice consistent thickness and perfectly sized outer diameter center hole
