Pros

Gvcoraline is a book about adventure and horror. It reads like an eerie fairy-tale. My second neil gaiman book, after the graveyard book.

Coraline is a strange but lovely girl that finds herself in a new world with her other mother who eats beetles and traps souls but will she escape? Cooraline meets friends along her three children and a cat that are relying on her to save them.

Cons

The story moved at such an unnecessary fast pace. Characters in this book are so hard to like.

Gaiman explores themes around control and abuse in this book whilst on the surface it can also just be seen as a scary story

The story explores themes around family and the grass is always greener whilst ultimately having the message that although everything has flaws it is not always safe to just jump to a new situation to fix them
