I got it for a disabled person who can only use 1 hand and could not manage to connect his tablet charge cable and would always bend the usb plug and damage the port trying to get the tiny usb connector in place
It is actually magnetic and the tip of the cable can easily break away from the rest of the cable
The reason you would want a cable like this is if youre using your phone or other device in a place where you might be toward the end of the cable or its somewhere that you might drop your device easily
If you drop the device or get to the end of the cable and try to tug on it the cable will simply come lose
