The winds have been quiet where i live but the whole mounting setup should survive pretty vicious winds in most locations ie not a hurricane

We have the long side of the triangle up against our house and were suprised to find it was not perfectly straight

The picture shows the short sides bowing in but our seems to do that on all three sides

Plus at the angle i have it the rain will roll off in the desired direction not just drop all around the edges like my table umbrella
