These are meant to reduce strain by orienting the cables in a way that causes less strain on the port but since they dont grab the fingerboard tightly enough they dont work as expected
I tried many combinations of these adapters even tried newer cables i had just to be sure i w
They work so long as i hold them solid againstin to the hdmi port but that shouldnt be necessary
