Edit i contacted the company to explain the problem and they sent me a new mug

The lid itself closes tightly and securely its not leaking from the lid only from the flip top part that has the rubber stopper in the drinking hole

Im really disappointed i loved this mug after so many years of use but i think im going to have to seek out a more reliable one now

Sadly to say it was not as good and it only lasted about a year before i tossed it out

However the lid is slightly different and i find it does not seal quite as well

You have to make sure to press it down quite hard to get a secure seal and i cant interchange the lid with my old mug such minor changes
