Far from the grand unifying theory of social networks its more like a plate of appetizers that help you decide whether or not you want to move to the main course

A word of warning though dont take the results of studies cited in this book at face value

But a quick google search would net you half a dozen recent publications claiming that marriage actually reduces the life expectancy in women while still increasing it in men

Im not saying this to cast doubt on the rigor of research in this book but to point out that social studies in general are notoriously unreliable and all too often yield different results even across slightly different demographics
