There was actually no moisture intrusion in the case after being washed. It is waterproof though i haven't tested that out personally. A good waterproof case is essential to protect tools from the environment.

Now having said that maybe its a totally different standard type of o ring that you find on high price coolers vs high price cases
My wife couldnt believe the price on these but im not surprised a bit
Packaging/appearance
It certainly seems durable enough to protect the contents
Competitiveness
Both seem to have the same type rubbery spongy type thin gasket in the lid that seals the case over a tounge in groove molding
This was my first time buying either companys products
It reminds me of a more expensive brand case but for a better price

The condition 1 inside dimensions are a little smaller than the pelican

The outside dimensions has the condition 1 seemingly a fair amount smaller and definitely weighing less too

So for the price one could argue the condition 1 is too expensive or that the pelican is very competitive in price
