They stay up in the back and yet ride low on the waist in front. I wear the smaller size after long rides to help reduce muscle cramping. The larger ones are good for around the house or after less strenuous rides.

Cons

The fabric in the groin is too thin. The pocket seam is weird. The rise is too low to cover and doesn't come up to waist.
