Pros

This toaster is a masterpiece. I love the chrome and the metallic red that is deeper and richer in color than it shows in the listing on my computer. Not too light and not too dark.

The toasts pop out high so don't need to use a toast lifter. This toasts perfectly and evenly, enough to make mom happy. On the plus side, it produces toast with good crispness.

Cons

I guess nobody makes toasters that are any good any more, unless you want to pay some outrageous price. As well as smelling up the entire house, this toaster also gets very hot on the outside. Too bad, otherwise a decent inexpensive toaster.

Only one side will really be toasted. They seem to heat up but never brown or toast. On 4, the toast would be burnt. I often have to toast the same piece of bread twice to get it browned.

It's still functional (although it hurts my thumb to press the broken lever down) it’s a huge disappointment that the toaster only lasted 8 months. Bummed it is broken just because of a cheap part.

I have a favorite spatula and a favorite fry pan…but this is a good product

It is also pretty close to the chart that comes with the toaster to help you choose the right setting

I operated it empty on a low setting then with the ends of bread what we don’t eat on a normal setting just to get the smell gone

I just need a simple toaster i wanted one cute enough to leave out on the counter sometimes
