Pros

Use quality screws, (like grk brand r4 muli-purpose) and go through your molding into the rough-opening 2x4 frame. Installing is easy. Took a little messing around with the figure out the tension adjustment.

Short of locking the door, this works well. Purchased this to keep the dog out of the pantry.

Cons

Door frames in my house have a sizable molding around them. This makes it impossible to install the unit flush against the door. Impossible to adjust tension.
