    I use my camera for video all of the time but to be honest the builtin microphone is not always the strongest and definitely does not provide a great recording always

    I run a youtube channel and have always used the in camera mic problem was outdoors in windy environments the footage was always unusable

    It must be noted that the mic will pic up ambient noise such as traffic even if it is behind the camera it just lowers the decibels

    Also this mic is not like a telescope you cant stand 20 ft away and be properly heard the purpose is to get cleaner sound within the vicinity of the cam
