I checked with my internet provider and was told the only devices they would recommend to me as being compatible with their wifi router are made by another company

When i initiated the return i had to give amazon a reason for the return

So although the product description says it works with any router it appears my internet provider has somehow set up their routers to only work with range extenders made by a specific company
