Pros

Do no harm is the latest in the usually reliable nate heller series. A great pulpy thriller that is a loving tribute to the bond novels that flat out excels in every way. It's very hard to compare anyone to fleming and even here it can't be done becau...  Read More

Come spy with me is the first of a series of novels about john sand. John sand picks his way through a thicket of backstabbing and betrayals. Two more john sand exploits are in the hopper, but i'm hoping that this new addition to the collins canon wil...  Read More

I assume that collins made use here of his copious research for the heller novels. As this is set in the jet set 60's, move it does, hopping from country to country, never in one place for long. Max allan collins is one of my favorite writers.

Light-hearted fun with lots of action. Great, retro spy fun. Action is tense, the stakes are high.

Cons

John sand is rather wooden. A henchman is woefully underwritten. Peppered with jarring anachronisms.
