Pros

Both are soft shell, both repel water, and both keep you nice and warm. Warm on the inside and water repellent exterior is nice.

Cons

Main zipper teeth are thinner. Main zipper gapes from the bottom when i sit and/or move around like fastening a seat belt. Elastic cords on the zippers are a thinner/cheaper material and not as easy to grab.

This new version is an absolute embarrassment for columbia. Made using a thinner material, the internal lining is not as thick or soft.
