Pros

These are very easy to connect and disconnect. Used these to replace some leaking fittings. They seem to hold up well, this coming from a person who has a tendency to * everything like a gorilla.

These have 4 balls inside vs the cheap ones which have 3. By comparison high end merlin’s usually have 6 balls. Very pleased and will buy more.

Cons

Pieces are made of featherweight aluminum with weakly-sprung connectors. After just a few used they become unusable because the coupler bits into the end and the retaining *. Besides that it has a weak finish that a human nail can scratch it.

We use the compressor about twice a month and in the last 2 months, two of the female couplers have started to leak. After a weekend working on the project car, they already leak despite use of thread sealer. Also, the coupler leaks.

Male fittings are smaller in diameter and shorter in length than my other fittings. The dimensions are slightly different with the exception of the actual coupling joint dimensions. The hex feature is too small - roughly 1/16 smaller than a 9/16 wrenc... Read More
