Actually better as i had to plug in a larger plug which would have covered 2 outlets put it on the single outlet side

Three prong devices are designed needing a ground for safe operation and this connection provides the needed ground or else you yourself will be providing it which could mean at least a very unpleasant shock and up to death

In my area of virginia its is impossible to find an extension cord in any outlet or in any hardware store that not brown or white
