Prior to getting this food i wasnt sure i was smarter than the squirrels as i had tried several other means without success

I use to have to chase the squirrels away now i just let them eat it to why bother what they leave behind the birds will geti stored mine in a 5 gallon plastic buckets with a lid the squirrels spend hours chewing on it trying to get it open needless to say they have not gotten to the seed but they sure have made holes in the edge of the lid

We bought the safflower seeds to keep the squirrels and crows away and it worked

I just moved to hampton va back in january and started feeding all the nuthatches chickadees titmice hairy woodpeckers cardinals song sparrows junkos finches gold finches hummingbirds brown thrashers with a combination of seed combinations and feeders

Disposable plastic tube feeders from target at 6 bucks a pop bought 4 replaced the first 2 because the plastic froze during spring thaw and lingering winter weather cycles at least the junkos were well fed before they disappeared to raise thier broods hopefully close but i see them not in late may and 2 squirell buster feeders for 30 dollars each from amazon
