There is the outer jacket with the buttons but underneath there is a separate fleece jacket that zips up

My only complaint is that when i called amazon customer service they wouldnt allow me to return for a smaller size for the same amount i paid for the xl

I have owned several other cole haan items and have always been very pleased with the high quality the brand exemplifies especially cole haan shoes as i find them to be some of the most stylish and comfortable shoes i have ever owned so i was very excited to try out this wool coat
