Long blade makes this an excellent training knife for anyone into the blade arts. Fencing mask, mouthguard, and cup is sufficient for high-intensity drilling and sparring. Always love this knife.

Cons
Knifecountryusa is by far the worst knife dealer i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It's not rubber, it's very stiff plastic that does not flex. Not good for training. The finger separator would get in the way while doing dis-arms.

This is a less painful trainer than most comparable products thanks to its long blade rounded tip and slim crosssection
I practiced with many different partners and concluded that no matter what i dont ever want to get in a real knife fight

Very narrow and the texture was a bit uncomfortable but wrapping it with 550 cord fixed it

Training knife is lighter than the ossalready a very light knife for the size the black bear is much heavier
