Pros & Cons
Pros
Cleaning is a rinse after use and boil periodically. The company website says to boil it, so i did, and this improved the taste a little and the drip time quite a bit. Easy to rinse out, then hang to dry.
They work just as well as the paper filter, but need a little more water to presoak/rinse than the paper filters. I love them because it means i am not creating as much waste or spending money every couple months to buy more and more disposable ones.
The cloth filter seems to brew a slightly more quick pourover. The coffee they brew is velvety and grind free. Great tasting coffee and great for the environment.
Cons
Water runs right through these, resulting in a weak brew. They get dirty and require periodic boiling to get the gunk out. Paper filters are a far better option.

We wash the thing by running water through it rubbing the fabric a bit then sticking it in our coffee carafe and pouring boiling water over it and letting it sit before draining it and throwing it in a ziplock back and stick it in the freezer

I have not boiled it to clean it only using water from sink and i am not a daily coffee drinker so you may experience this slow down differently more quickly on daily use

The long term question is i left coffee in it for days and it dried out and so i emptied it and might have had some stick to the filter dont quote me but as i cleaned and looked noticed tiny fibers all over as if i ripped out some of the fabric leaving behind rugged fabric but regardless of that i noticed all over the filter actually on close inspection had mini clear looking fibers however nothing is in the coffee cup as i look for the fibers there was none
