Highly recommend springing for this set instead of a cheaper one. I try to give gifts that are fun and thought provoking. Thinking of purchasing again as a gift.
It involves strategy and planning ahead, but even the youngest pick this up quickly. Great game to teach and play with anyone. My 9 year old loves it.
Size of pits and cala are very nice and it's easy to scoop out stones. Glass tokens are the perfect size and weight. The included glass stones are perfectly sized!

This board is nice looking, but the wood in the cups is very rough which makes it uncomfortable to play at times. Showed up with 2x missing stones.

I had a cheaper game of mancala and the bins for the stone were too small and the tones kept overflowing and would get mixed together and it was really annoying

The stones smell a bit like vinegar when you first start using them
