Pros

It's strong initially but fades to a subtle but long-lasting. It's affordable, quite a bargain really.

It has that oldschool barber shop feel you can enjoy all day. Smells great, soothes and tightens your skin right after shaving. Classic barbershop scent. Wakes me up for 5 minutes after my old safety razor shave.

Cons

Pinaud needs to discontinue this product.

It has sickly sweet lilac smell that is not unlike the urinal cakes found in public restrooms. The scent is overwhelming and so flowery. I'm a big fan of clubman aftershave and other men's products, but this has the worst scent imaginable.

The scent is somewhere between an overflowing porta-potty at a rock concert, and a soiled diaper. Packaging is amazing - only reason worth buying is to dupe your friends to try so they smell like fresh diaper material.

Honestly i really can’t understand why many people don’t like this product

I like the vanilla bay rum and original clubman better in that order but this one is not bad

It lasts about a good 45 hours for meand when i compared the scents to my old manhe could not believe it was the same product

Or atleast put your products in better quality plastic

Packaging/appearance

It reminds me of that fresh smell babies have right out of the bath all squeaky clean new diaper…

Interestingly it doesnt smell that good right out of the bottle

One of the oldest aftershaves still being madesupposedly since the 1850s or so

I also think this brand represents a really good value at the price point

I have a 1950s original ed pinuad barbershop lilac bottleso i’m lucky to own itbut any decanter will do
