The grip pad is very durable. It's constructed of heavyweight metal and seems extremely sturdy and durable. You can clip it to the outside of your purse and don't have to dig around in your bag to look for your purse clip.

The spring is not very strong, so the clip opens very easily. It needs to be strong enough to at least stay clipped to outside of purse as advertised. I use a crossbody bag and this holder does not work well the long strap.

The polished one looks quality, but came with several tarnish/scratch looking areas straight out of the box. I wonder if the matte one would peel off too? The matte one looks cheap. It's prob going to look worse real fast.
