It has a cooling effect as soon as it is applied and stops the pain. It's cold at first then starts to heart up. The relief lasts long enough for me to walk to the bathroom.
I apply it using a vynil glove, massaging well and the pain seems to disappear immediately. It has a cool menthol peppermint smell and it really cools down any sore spots.

You really only need the tiniest amount as its a water based gel so quite runny

On each knee i rubbed a 5p amount untill it was no longer a thin consistancy and i could feel a slight warmth
