Having used both extensively it's an easy decision for me to get one of these. The blade locks well, and is sharp.

In a world full of low quality, this knife shines high and above. Bought several as gifts to my mushroom protégés! Recent purchase for fungi foraging.

The case/holder it comes with is sturdy and kept my knife handy & secure all day. Hour hike through 2 state parks! The whole knife feels sturdy and well-made.

Cons

The blade is fine but the wooden handle is separating from the knife immediately out if the box. Don't waste your money, there's better out there for much cheaper.
