Quality
So for say about 8 per car for a hydrophobic effect lasting 68 months i am all for this product
In total this product is well worth the 15 dollars it costs and i have highly reccomended it to my friends and family
The clarity defender product works very well i believe
I can use a lower setting on the interval with the regular florida rain and rarely need constant wiper action
Competitiveness
I have been a rainx fan for years
But it lasts months longer than rainx for sure
I assume this is because i was unable to achieve complete elimination of the rainx product on the glass during precleaning

The problem with rainx is that reapplication is required every month heavy use months to two months

I purchased clarity defender assuming that the one year hype may actually get me 6 months and that would be worth the experiment

The hydrophobic effect of clarity defender was not as intense as an initial application of rainx

Further clarity defenders degradation over time does not increase obscuration unlike rainx where sections of glass erode before others creating alternating hazing patterns on the windshield
