Im not sure why people have dinged this case with 1star reviews other than they didnt really look at the images and see how it would function

Since the case mounts to the camera via the tripod mounting screw i dont ever have to worry about dropping the camera while wearing it as opposed to a camera case that you slip the camera in and out of

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The screw that mounts to the camera is also threaded so that you can mount the camera on a tripod without removing it from the case

It is a bulky case but as pointandshoot cameras go the g7x is a bulky camera

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

My one real complaint is that if you look at the image of the front of the case there is no contouring for the hand grip so the front sorta sits out at a small angle

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

None of the cases for the g7x have any contour so its not like theres a better one out there

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The soft fuzzy inside of the case seems to be a polyester velvet material

Would also be nice to have a way to attach the top of the case more securely to the bottom of the case during use—as it is the top part needs to be taken off and put somewhere while shooting the bottom snap holds it shut but will not securely hold the two parts together when the top part is dangling from it
