It is easy to install and leakfree although it would be more complete if a small roll of pipe tape was included

The water pressure doesnt seem to be affected while using the water shutoff valve

This item stated it was solid brass

The fitting itself may be however the valve itself is plastic nylon or something not brass

I used this to replace a flowlimiting shutoff valve that dribbled which i understand is a feature and not a bug
