Pros & Cons
Pros
Would highly recommend this book. Ranked in my all time top 10 books. The book gives you concrete ideas and examples you can implement.
James has a conversational writing style that is refreshing and relatable. If you're ever in a funk or just plain complacent about life, his words invite disruption. James invites us to contemplate our secret longings for the life we want to live.
Cons
The book is really one long rant that isn't even very well organized. The book isn't written very well, there are numerous grammar mistakes and it is full of syntax errors. This book becomes pretty much useless in our positions.
The author seems to be an odd mix of self-absorbed and self deprecating. It gives me the impression that the author was too lazy to organize, edit, substantiate, and do some research.
The gap between owing millions and having millions is kind of glossed over. Get rid of it. Because your employer despises you.
James altucher is a nice narcissist. The content of the book lacks any real insight and borrows ideas from other authors. In one of his online posts, he promoted porter stansberry, a financial newsletter author.
