Pros & Cons
Pros
Ranked in my all time top 10 books. The main massage from the book is that before you start doing anything meaningful in this life you must take care of your spiritual, mental, physical health. I'm so glad i downloaded it.
Due to the hardship we are going through, this is a good time to reassess everything and choose yourself and believe in it. Scary honesty. No true success is possible without a solid level of self-confidence.
James has a conversational writing style that is refreshing and relatable. If you're ever in a funk or just plain complacent about life, his words invite disruption. James invites us to contemplate our secret longings for the life we want to live.
Cons
Life is too short to waste time with this nonsense. Because your employer despises you.
Altucher promoted porter stansberry, a financial newsletter author who was sued by the sec for fraud and fined, losing his case again on appeal. Despite constant self reflection, james has no idea he is in fact a narcissist.
The online marketing world is a tight community and a money making business, and kind of a dishonest one at that. Last i looked the man has no audience or respect from anyone and his bs business is little more than a wannabe ghost writing service.
Highlights
Competitiveness
Altucher thoughts on life than about business specifically
Everything seems possible now or at least worth a try
