Thank goodness i didnt throw out my old straw that i had with my other couple because it is you can see by the photo the straw they include is 1 cheap plastic painted to look like metal or some really chintzy alloy and is nowhere near long enough for the cup

Second the sliding closure does leak if you tip it over primarily because there is a small hole in both the slider and the clear top
