Yes it’s cardboard but it’s very thick and heavy and mine has held up beautifully since 82022 with a lot of use

To be fair this listing is deceitful by letting you think it’s metal and not specifying “metal look” and also saying the tissue thin foil they send and sell is heavy duty

Lots of designs for plastic wrap but few options for the 18 inch long foil and freezer wrap

Water on the counter wouldnt affect it if you placed the box on it stays in place when you lift straight up and then pull out of the box
