This thing is nooot flimsy which is a pro and a bit of a con since it makes it quite heavy but for the safety it gives you i wouldnt even consider that a bad thing

The base for this seat has a lever that flips so you can have the seat more reclined for a younger baby who cannot yet crawl or walk and a more upright mode for children 15lbs and up who can crawl and walk

I was really hoping wed be able to take the keyfit 30 which we have in our second car out and replace it with the fit2 and take advantage of the more upright toddler setting but she is really not happy in this seat
