When i cut the sourdough boules i bake i have to make the slices very thick otherwise the slices collapse

My only complaint is that it tends to slip when cutting thick crust therefore difficult to control the thickness of the slices

We have had two of these knives for about 30 years and unfortunately lost one recently probably in the garbage
