Pros

It currently has a hexagonal and square side. Other than that, it’s great for tabletop gaming. The reversible quality means i can have my dungeon on one side as still use the back to draw out the random encounter where the rouge, needs to escape after...  Read More

Best of its kind, far outclassed anything laminate. A loose roll keeps it in nice shape and keep it laying flat. High quality battle mat.

Cons

They stain worse then the dry erase i used on the old mat. After just one map drawn, left on for just 30-45 mins, artifacts and stains refuse to come off.

Given these silks, it is certainly a product that overpriced and overrated. Ok, that happens.

Marks came off with water and dish soap leaving behind a light shadow which is not ideal but it still leaves the grid squares and fresh marks completely legible so its perfectly adequate for real use

Be careful about using red dry erase pens on this because they can stain it

Heres what you need to know1 expo green and black markers come off easily after a week of leaving them on2 staedler blue and green markers also come off easily after a week of leaving them on3 do not use red markers they stain in mere moments and while theyll fade over time youll always see them if you look4 do not use an abrasive or aggressive cleaner or rubbing tool these mats use a coating to maintain their wet erasiveness once the coating is dissolved it ceases to be wet eraseable5 never ever use dry erasepictures are my current 20 year old mat where ive learned a lot of these lessons the hard way
