Pros & Cons
Pros
This pitter works great for pitting cherries before canning. Just clean it good and dry it after each use.
The size and firmness of the cherries makes a difference. I like this one with the push - rather than the type that is like a staple remover.
Cons
Don't buy this inferior item. It removes the pits about six out of ten times. The pit-sliding problem could probably be reduced by using a more robust plunger.
