As a side note i have purchased few kettles from other companies in the past many of their plastic cover on the whistle melted during the normal use or the balance was off

Very impressed with the tea kettle but was disappointed when i could barely hear the whistling when the water was ready to be poured

My purpose to the whistling tea kettle was to be able to hear it whistling from any room on the main floor of the house and not to be standing right over it waiting for it to whistle
